APP Chapter Review:
The APP Study Review Course is a program designed by ASIS International’s Education Team, along with subject matter experts from across the security industry to help members increase their success when studying for the APP. This program is exclusively made available to regional Chapters and their members as a benefit of being a member of ASIS International and your local Chapter. Columbia River chapter (CRASIS) is sponsoring another great opportunity for those who are looking to earn their APP certification from ASIS International.
The Associate Protection Professional (APP) Certification is designed for those professionals who have 1-4 years of experience in the fundamentals of security management.
This APP Study Review Course will begin on Thursday, October 5, 2023, through December 7, 2023, taking Thursday, November 23rd off for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will meet every Thursday via Zoom and In-Person from 7:00 – 8:30 AM PST and review the APP Study Materials. Jon Ensley, CPP, PSP will facilitate the APP Study Review Course.
Which ASIS Certification is best for me?
The Associate Protection Professional (APP) Certification is designed for those professionals who have 1-4 years of experience in the fundamentals of security management.
The Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Certification is designed for those professionals who have demonstrated experience and an understanding in all areas of security management.

This course is being offered free of charge; however, each participant will need to purchase the official APP Review Manual on their own from the ASIS Store: The cost of the APP Review Study materials is approximately $149.00 plus S&H.

Instructor
Jon Ensley, CPP, PSP
Jon has over 20 years of security and related experience in physical security and protective services. He started his career working for his father in Kansas City doing locksmithing, access control, cameras, and alarm installation and maintenance. Jon has continued to work in these areas part-time throughout his career in different capacities. Jon spent 8 years in the US Army in the Infantry, and as a Combat Engineer SAPPER. He has a bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology and is currently finishing an Associates in Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) from AMU. He has his CPP and PSP from ASIS and graduated from Executive Security International (ESI). Jon has worked as a Security Project consultant to public utilities, provided guard services, executive protection, medical first responder, and workplace violence management, response, and recovery to many corporate clients. Jon has spent the last 4 years working in the downtown Portland area providing workplace violence risk management, behavior assessments, and response services to increased risk clients.
