For security professionals who have already earned the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Certification, the Chapter CPP Review Course is accredited for 13 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards the renewal of your CPP Certification. Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance at the end of the course and can be submitted with your Certification Renewal.
NOTE: An individual looking to earn their CEUs must participate in all 8 sessions in order to get the Certificate of Attendance. There are no exceptions to missing a session and still receiving the Certificate of Attendance.

This program is exclusively made available to regional Chapters and their members as a benefit of being a member of ASIS International and your local Chapter.

Beginning Friday, September 16, 2022, through Friday, October 28, 2022, Jon Ensley, CPP, PSP and Rudy Mendoza, CPP will co-facilitate a virtual CPP study review course via Zoom from 4:00- 5:30 PM PST. Come join us as we meet every Friday to review each domain and the CPP Study materials. The first session will cover an introduction to the CPP Program, the process of developing a study plan, and the CPP application process. Participants will then study on their own each week and return every Friday to receive a review of the study material from the facilitators using ASIS International’s proprietary CPP study material. At the end of all sessions, participants will be given time to ask questions if they have any.

Jon Ensley, CPP, PSP
Jon has over 20 years of security and related experience in physical security and protective services. He started his career working for his father in Kansas City doing locksmithing, access control, cameras, and alarm installation and maintenance. Jon has continued to work in these areas part-time throughout his career in different capacities. Jon spent 8 years in the US Army in the Infantry, and as a Combat Engineer SAPPER. He has a bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology and is currently finishing an Associates in Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) from AMU. He has his CPP and PSP from ASIS and graduated from Executive Security International (ESI). Jon has worked as a Security Project consultant to public utilities, provided guard services, executive protection, medical first responder, and workplace violence management, response, and recovery to many corporate clients. Jon has spent the last 4 years working in the downtown Portland area providing workplace violence risk management, behavior assessments, and response services to increased risk clients.
Rudy Mendoza, CPP
Rudy Mendoza is a Senior Functional Specialist with Cogent Security Consulting bringing over 20 years of experience serving in the military and nuclear security industry. He began his career serving four years in the United States Air Force as an Information Manager. After his enlistment, Rudy joined Hanford Patrol, the Protective Force Contractor known as Hanford Patrol at the Hanford Site for the past 16 years. During his time with Hanford Patrol, Rudy worked in several positions leaving as a Headquarters Shift Relief Captain. Rudy earned his CPP from ASIS and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social and Criminal Justice, with a minor in security management from Ashford University. A Master’s in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in servant leadership from Gonzaga University. As well as a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in disaster management from Liberty University. Rudy recently joined Cogent Security Consulting and is subcontracted by Hanford to manage three programs for Program Management and Analysis, a department of the Safeguards and Security (SAS) organization at the Hanford Site. In his new role, Rudy is relied upon to collaborate, mentor and coach program managers in Security Operations, which encompasses Information Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Technical Security and Materials Control & Accountability. Rudy ensures SAS programs comply with state and federal regulations, Department of Energy Orders, and Hanford Site policy and procedures.
